What kind of a writer am I,
If all I can write about is love or hate.
What kind of a writer am I,
If rhymes are the deciding factor of my fate.
What kind of a writer am I,
If truth is my prominent style.
What kind of a writer am I,
If nothing I write makes it seem worthwhile.
What kind of a writer am I,
If my choices are the roads less travelled by
What kind of a writer am I,
If I knew the darkest corners of the world but had to ask you,
“Who am I?”

Great poem! I love it! – I’m also much more nervous about posting poems on my blog than short stories. You must be brave.

That’s too kind 🙂 thank you! And it’s not about bravery, it’s more about not being able to hold it in that I let it all out.

If rhymes are the deciding factor of my fate.
So so true! I can relate to this line as I am one of those writers who believes that it is the message that comes first and not the rhymes. Great job!

I have spent the past few days reading your words, poetry, prose, and tips. Don’t get me wrong we are each unique by nature., but I see much of the same ideology that others have shared with me and me in turn share with others. It is refreshing in a sense that you bring conformation that I am on track. Helping me to battle self doubt. There was still something troubling me. Something I was missing?? Then it hit me. OMG it’s been there all the time!! You don’t just put words on a page out of your head and walkaway leaving it lifeless. Life begets life. Reaching inward where life energy flows free. Drawing strength and courage to write the words not seen before. Let alone seen. As painful as it must be to stand exposed and venerable baring your heart and soul. Love rules the day as you breath life into your words . And place them gently on the page.
