The Obsessive Writing Challenge – Week 2

Welcome to the second week of the Obsessive Writing Challenge. 🙂 Thank you for all the support! We had some amazing entries last week.

This week’s theme is : Dream

You will have to write content, any kind of content relevant to the theme and it has to have the word “dream” in it. I will pick a winner and link to their blog in the next week. And an additional prize for this week’s winner will be an chance to be featured on my blog with a guest post.

The rules are pretty simple.

  1. You can submit your entry by writing it and posting it in your blog. Your entry should have : a title, followed by a link to my blog and then finally the body of your content.
  2. Your post has to have the word “dream”, and it has to be the overall theme.
  3. Leave a link to your entry in the comments below, that’s how I’ll be able to see it. (I won’t know you’ve entered the contest unless you let me know via a comment)
  4. Your entry can be any written work, like a story, a poem or a passage. Just make sure it’s relevant to the topic and most importantly, original.
  5. The last date for submitting your entry is 25.11.17 (Saturday) 11:59 PM IST

Good luck! And make sure you follow the rules to make it easier for me 🙂

  1. The Forgiven Sinner Mortified

Since a person’s sins have been casting long shadows, people often forget they are just the elements of this pathway, not the judge.
Sadly, we live in a society where judgement is made before justification, justification is considered of the one in power, power is taken rather earned, earned is what comes easily rather results of time, time flies at the blink of an eye, eyes are those which hide sadness, sadness flies away on the wings of time.
The cycle of words rides along the pangs of speech.
Counting other people’s sins does not make us a saint.

Whoever covers the sin of your fellows, Lord will cover their sin in this world and hereafter.

  2. Timeless Dreams
    She smiled when you cried.
You smiled mischievously when she glared.
    You dreamed, she fulfilled.
She dreamt for you, you had different interests.
She ran to fetch you when you fell sick.
You ran away when her knees fell weak.
In this race against time, we forgot our folks are running out of time. She always buried the hatchet between you and your sibling. She quit her career when you went through a lean patch in your academic. Were you there for her at least when her knees were feeble?
They always accepted challenges for our future. Have you challenged yourself to be there for them in their future?

They taught us true meanings of life, meanings that built us who we are today.
When life throws curveballs, it may cause to stumble. Life’s challenges shouldn’t defeat us. They are none other than our parents and grandparents. Prioritize your folks! Because they prioritized us.
Don’t be there just in their dreams, be there in their reality. Your dreams and success will follow you and turn into reality.

      1. Just keep trying. Work on improving your site and the followers will come. Your focus should be only on your blog. When you waste time worrying
About the followers you’re not getting, it’s not really going to help. Use this time to write good content!
